Autonomous Car
Goal
The project goal was to create a small car which could follow a curved wall without ever touching the wall.
I developed the computer vision model and autonomous driving software while my group member built the physical car.
Computer Vision
I developed a simple sensor system and computer vision display to allow us to see what the car sees while it is driving along the wall.
The car's "eyes" are three sonar sensors reading distances in a 3D printed mount which I designed and printed.
Autonomous Driving
The autonomous driving software I developed was in full control of the car as it entered the course.
Our car was the only one to make it through the course without running into the wall and completed the course the fastest of 8 groups.
